Become a member if you are active or are interested in the field of plant biotechnology, plant breeding or a relevant core discipline.

The Society for Plant Biotechnology e.V. is a cooperative member of the German Life Science Association eV (VBIO) and a member of the umbrella organization of the IAPB (International Association for Plant Tissue Culture & Biotechnology).

Therefore, membership gives you a number of benefits:

• Simultaneous personal membership in the umbrella organization IAPB
• Annually two issues of the journal "In Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology - Plant", published by the IAPB
• Possibility of community membership at VBIO for 25 € surcharge
• Subscription to the weekly newsletter of the VBIO (can be unsubscribed)
• Exclusive invitations to scientific conferences of the society
• Reduced conference fee for conferences of the society
• Access to the protected members area of the website (after separate, free registration)

The annual fee for ordinary members is 50 €

Upon application, members seeking employment or retirees pay a reduced fee equal to the contribution to be paid to the umbrella organization IAPB.

Since young scientists are particularly important to us in the field of plant biotechnology, student members do not pay contributions (on presentation of the student ID card).
